SURPRISE

So not this last Saturday but the Saturday before that started out as just a normal day for Darci (yes I do love talking in 3rd person). After a morning of being bored I was talking to Sadie and we decided we would have a crazy night full of toilet papering, saran wrapping, and writing on people’s car with window marker. So with that being said on went the hoodie and scummy look and off I went to go party the night way. Sadie picked me up and then we went to Madi’s. Once we all met at Madi’s we went to go see the crash site. Seeing the cliff Madi and Kevin went off of on their four wheeling accident totally made me sick to my stomach. It’s crazy how no helmets and flying so far, they are still alive today! We then had the bright idea to go break into Tanglewood (A dance and gymnastics studio) and just go play on the different toys in there. On the way there I got a random text from a kid asking what time my party ends. I had no idea what he was talking about and he then texted me back and said he meant to send that text to Jason. We then laughed hysterically cause D and J aren’t even close. We arrived at Tanglewood and there were cars there. I asked Sadie why there were cars here and she said that there was some bridal shower here earlier today but they left and cars. I then saw someone in the wind (Silly Ryan) and I started to freak out, I swore I saw someone but everyone just laughed and said I was seeing things. We walked through the doors and in the dance mirrors I saw people in the corner. I then yelled “guys there’s people her” and started running out the door. But Miranda and Sadie grabbed me and made me keep walking forward. Then everyone yelled “SURPRISE!”  Wow can I just say I am the most gullible person ever! There were so many hints all week at school, while we were in the car going to Tanglewood and just everything and I didn’t have any idea at all! Oh you can diffidently tell I am a blonde.
The party couldn’t have gotten better. We had a real D.J. who pretty much rocked. Awesome lights, good food, funny things to dress up with, and fun things to play on. Needless to say after a cake fight, dancing and laughing really hard the night was amazing. The Amp over heated at around 10:30 so the D.J. left and most people went home so me and just a couple friends stayed, plugged in an iPod and continued to dance the night away. After everyone left and cleaning up I finally came home around 2. Ya let’s just say I had the best surprise birthday party ever! I pretty much have the best friends anyone could ask for and I seriously can’t even count how many people were there tonight. There were so many people and it’s sad that a couple people I don’t even know who they are were there. But that night was seriously so much fun and one to remember!

Sweet Sixteen

So the first thing that popped into my head when I woke up was the song “Sweet Sixteen” By Hilary Duff. I can’t believe this day is finally here! I can still remember thinking on my 8th birthday that my life will double by the time I can finally drive and date! I seriously thought the day would never come and that it was just so super far away. But needless to say it finally came and yes I’m FINALLY 16! I have had the countdown for my 16th birthday for years!! And I just have to say it was totally worth the forever long countdown cause this birthday was by far the best birthday anyone could have asked for!
It started out on a cold rainy day on April 21, 2011. I was getting ready for school when the door bell kept ringing constantly! It was for me and my 2 amazing friends Mishae and Ashlyn were there to give me balloons, Jelly beans and diet coke! They sure know me good :) I finished getting ready and off us three went to school. School was a normal day; I don’t think I have had that many people ever wish me a happy birthday. I swear every ten minutes a new person would wish me happy birthday or I would get a random text. School was great minus the bad news of not making student council again but that’s okay, life moves on and it just wasn’t meant to happen I guess. I had already sorta figured I wasn’t going to make it so it wasn’t to heart breaking to hear the news.
After school me and my mom took a road trip. First stop, Brigham City. Woot woot here I got my license. I am now officially a licensed driver! So If I were you I would maybe stay off the roads for a little bit and just make sure you stay within a 2 mile range of me while I’m driving! Haha just kidding I’m actually a pretty good driver don’t worry. The road trip continued, stop two…Logan! We went to Logan to go get my super cute ring at Morgan Jewelers. That was a great trip, they were having a party in there and the lady said that the party was basically just for me and my birthday! I got sung to by some musicians and the whole store, I’m a big deal what can I say :) ha then off we went back home to tree town.
I was home for probably ten minutes when I got picked up for my first real and official date! The lucky man who got to take me out was Brenden Oxborrow! I don’t think I could have picked anyone better to have taken me out on my first date and on my 16th birthday none the less! It was a blast! We did a group date with Lindsey, Benjy, Kallton and Baylie! We went bowling, yay I suck at bowling and got half everyone score but hey I got 40 so I was pretty happy! Then we went and got Icees at the best icee shake in Garland! YUMM Mango and Pink Lemon sour is of course what I got! Then we went to Brenden’s and just sat around and hung out. I decided I pretty much love his little brother. He is so cute; he came up and just stood and stared at us forever then finally spoke and was like Umm I think I just saw a spider. Brenden asked if he wanted him to go kill it and his response was, No it’s on the wall and sideways so it’s okay! He was so stinkin cute and called me mom and asked if I would get him a drink and once he realized I wasn’t his mom he just stared at me! Yeah I’m pretty sure I creaped him out just a little! We later decided we would go to Kalltons house and bake cookies! We baked cookies, played apples to apples and just had fun!  I was winning apples to apples so I guess that makes up for totally loosing hard core at bowling! The date was so much fun and I couldn’t have asked for a better night! Thanks so much Brenden for the most amazing first date anyone could ask for!!
After all the Facebook messages, texts and random people saying Happy Birthday this day seriously couldn’t have gotten any better! I got a pretty awesome present from Sidney, a Kool-aid Shirts and sweaters with our pictures on them plus a hilarious note so it was a pretty great present! Then there was one present that meant a lot to me. It was just a conversation over text to a person who we have defffidently had are differences in the past and the person complete appoligized for everything! It’s weird that just a simple conversation over text can be one of the best birthday presents cause that meant so much and it was something that I really needed to hear! My birthday has just been all around great and I couldn’t have asked for a better one! Woot woot Darci is now 16 :)

2 people can make all the difference

So this week has seriously been so crazy and hectic and one that I would like to never go through again! But if it wasn’t for two amazing people in my life I have no idea what I would have done!
The first amazing person is my Dad! Words cannot even explain what I think about this man. This man can do anything. I have no idea how he does it all. He fathers a house hold of girls, works full time as the hospital administrator, goes back to school and is a loving Bishop who cares about everyone! And on top of that he’s pretty good at squishing a spider and fixing your broken necklace. This week my dad has helped a lot. I got to have my birthday bishop’s interview with him, saw him working hard at work, and just had little amazing conversation with him. But one thing in particular that helped me the most was he gave me a fathers blessing. I am so very happy and lucky that I can count on my dad whenever I need him for a fathers blessing. I was freaking out and bawling to my parents because I felt like everything in my life was going downhill. I felt like nothing I was doing was going right and was way confused on some big decisions im having to make and to top it off my friends Madi and Kevin got in a bad 4-wheeling accident. Luckily they are still alive and okay but I am pretty sure I don’t think I could have handled loosing another friend within months of loosing Devin. Seeing Kevin sit in that hospital bed and Madi barely able to move as she sat on her couch made me realize how lucky I am to have the friends that I do but made me sick to my stomach and brought back memories of everything that happened back in November. When I was telling my parents everything that I was feeling the thought kept coming into my mind to have my dad give me a blessing. As soon as he laid his hands on my head I could feel that spirit so strong, and couldn’t help but realize how lucky I am to have him as my dad and for the power of the priesthood. After a night full of bawling my eyes out, my dad gave me amazing advice, and an amazing blessing and everything since then has seemed to start falling back into place. I am so grateful for my dad and if any of you think you have a better dad I am pretty sure I could prove you wrong!
The second person who has helped me a lot this week is my sister Cami! This girl is seriously one of my biggest heroes and examples and is someone I look up to like crazy!  She is my clothes sharing buddy and I love raiding her laundry basket whenever she comes home!  Talking to her on the phone the other day meant more to me then she will probably ever realize. She made me realize that she has gone through everything I’m going through right now as I’m going through high school and that somehow she managed to survive it all, so I can to! I love her to death and she’s such a great sister. She is so strong, loving, caring, and doesn’t let what other people say get the best of her. She knows what to do about boys, clothes, parents, friends and how to party and have fun. I love whenever she is home for the weekend and her picking me up from a party way later then my parents normally would have or just being able to talk to her about my life! She helped me grow to love cereal for every meal possible and to try my hardest in everything I do.
I love Cami and my dad and couldn't ask for more amazing people in my life! They seriously have helped me a lot the past week and I just want to thank them for that!

Building my Kingdom

This weekend was General Conference. I love General Conference and it always seems like you hear exactly what you need to hear. This weekend, as I listened to the different talks the thought kept coming into my mind about building up my kingdom and being a daughter of god here on earth. Everyone is faced with challenge after challenge and trial after trail. Someone this weekend said “Put your trust in the lord your god, for he will help you through ALL your trails, tribulations and challenges!” I loved that because it made me realize that no matter what I’m going through in life if I just trust in God he will help me through it. We all need to choose the right and be building up are kingdom each and every day. You can’t be afraid of people judging you and thinking you are lower than what you really are. Only you and Heavenly Father know exactly who you are, what you’re going through, what you’re thinking and feeling and exactly what you need to do in order to get through life. I know that this church is true and that we truly are royal sons and daughters of a heavenly king. We can build up are kingdom each and every day with just the small and simple things we do.

Prom

Well this weekend was Junior Prom. Yes I’m only 15 and a sophomore so Prom was not on my to-do list for the things to do this weekend. But the excitement of watching all my junior friends get all dressed up for prom made me so excited for next year. I can’t wait to put on that perfect dress and feel like a princess with my studly, handsome date standing next to me. I know prom isn’t the perfect night out of your whole high school experiences like all the movies make it seem like. But something about seeing my friends all dressed up in their tuxes and hearing them talk all week on where they are going for their day date.  Plus seeing pictures of what they were going to wear for the big day and how they were just dying to wear it just made my whole week. So that is why I can’t wait for next year, so I can be the one showing everyone my dress and talking about how excited I am, to feel like the Princess in my giant puffy dress and dance the night away with my prince charming.

The Burrito

It was just a normal day at lunch. I stood in the line to get my food. My choice for today was a Taco Time Crisp Meat Burrito. My tummy was growling at me and so I took my first bit of deliciousness. What I didn’t realize was I was so hunger I took a giant bite. And on top of that about 7 boys were staring at me while I did that. After I heard them all burst out laughing and I started to wonder why they were staring at me, I soon started to worry. Did I have something on my face, did I get something on my shirt, is my hair all messed up, did they do something to my food. Millions of things were running through my mind as I tried to get an answer from at least one of the boys for why they were all staring and laughing at me.  One of them finally answered and said, “Wow Darci you took a big enough bite of that burrito, it must be too good to be true.” They are all some of my closes friends so I knew I shouldn’t be too embarrassed cause they were just giving me a hard time. But still a bunch of boys laughing at you by the way you eat does kinda get you red in the face and paranoid to take another bite. After laughing with them and trying to defend my side of the story. Watching them make fun of me I knew I just had to make a joke out of it. I’m not someone who gets embarrassed easily so I challenged one of the boys to see who could fit the most in their mouth. He had a banana and I still had almost my whole burrito left. We both shoved as much into our mouths that could possible fit. Needless to say I dominated! With just a little bit left of my burrito I shoved more in my mouth then he did (with it still be lady like don’t worry). All the boys couldn’t believe it! The embarrassment of it all had left me and I was just having fun. The rest of the day and days to come, I’m sure, they have been calling me, burrito, I am hoping that name doesn’t stick and I don't think I will be getting a Taco Time Crisp Meat Burrito any time soon.

Dance, Dance and a little more Dance!

Last night was the Hi-Stepper Spring show. I can’t believe the year has finally come to an end. It was kind of a bitter sweet night as I was able to perform all the dances one last time and dance with those girls for the last night. You can’t forget good old Coach Park dancing with me either for the daddy daughter dance. We had skill and were far better than anyone else! This year has diffidently had its ups and its down and I couldnt have done it without my amazing family to be there and support me. At the first of the year it was punishment after punishment and it seemed like nothing was going the way how I wished it would be. We were the farthest away from a team. All year it has been drama but I can’t complain because I became so close to so many of the girls on the team. I spent more hours with these girls then my family. We had memories this year that I will cherish forever. We found tons of mice at road clean up, taught screaming little girls how to dance at mini drill, wanting to punch are choreographer for military in the face as we all were so annoyed with her. We were all about ready to pass out doing kicks on the back of a semi for parade and we all faced major flex-its workouts together during camp. When someone mentions homecoming of course you have to think about the streakers running across the football field right in the middle of our performance. Practices were long and tiring but we still had fun, we had parties, chased boys who were trying to scare us down the hall and found them in the boy’s bathroom, put on fake mustaches, and yelled for chocolate milk every time Coach Park or Joe came into the gym. We had are struggles this year but after a lot of hard work we got 2nd in region and 4th in state. Nothing can take away that feeling I felt at state when we out beat Morgan and the looks they gave us because of it. It was sweet victory watching them cry and knowing that we basically took region just without the trophy. This year is now to an end and even though there was times when I just wanted to walk out of the gym and say, I quit, I am glad I had the chance this year to become closer to these girls, become a team and be like sisters…WE CAN, WE WILL, WE ROCK!!

My Asian Friend

Ashlyn Vica Johnson, Asian-invasion, ash-hole and Grandma. No matter what I call her she is basically like one of my best friends! Yesterday was her birthday and she is finally 16! We have been counting down her birthday for months now! She has shared the best and worst weeks of my life with me and we have been together during all the fun and little exciting things inbetween. Even though we do have are little fights and can get annoyed with each other I know she will always be there for me! I love her to death. We have had so many memories together and the list goes on and on of all our crazy adventures. She really is a great friend to have!

Breakfast Buddies

Whitney White and Kim Thornley are by far the best “Breakfast Buddies” ever! After a long and tiring early morning practice we head over to Whitney’s house for some of her moms AMAZING breakfast! I m use to cereal every morning at my house (I love cereal so that tends to make me happy) but Paula White's breakfast is to die for! Something about getting ready for school at their house, hearing the fire alarm go off every morning for no reason, and seeing something about Disneyland everywhere you look in their house just makes my mornings great! The whites are so welcoming into their home and I love it. Last night Me and Kim spent the night at Whitney’s house to have a “Breakfast Buddies Sleepover” and of course to eat Paula’s chocolate chip pancakes in the morning :)  I love Kim and Whitney and all are little talks we have together, these girls can diffidently make me laugh!

All about me!

I’m sure you are all dying to know random facts about me! So her is 10 random facts about the one, the only, Darci Packer!
1.       I am the worst procrastinator ever! As you can tell it’s taking me a month and a half to update the blog that I just started!  I get side tracked so easily and can’t stay focused on something for very long.
2.       I eat everything I can with a fork. The only food that doesn’t get the privilege of getting eaten with a fork is cereal. Ice cream, soup, bananas, pizza, the list just goes on and on of the things I eat with a fork! I mean come on, who doesn’t find the joy of stabbing your food right before they take the great journey inside your tummy!
3.       I absolutely love the color yellow! It is such a happy and bright color, who wouldn’t love it?!? I get made fun of all the time by kids at school joking around with me and saying, “I like yellow!” as they try to mimic me! But they are just jealous their favorite color isn’t the coolest color around!
4.       I am a totally germ-a-fob. I put hand sanitizer on multiple times a day and cringe whenever I am around some who coughs or sneezes.  Some people think I have a little bit of O.C.D. in me, and I think they may be right.
5.       When I was little I would make sure I had nothing planned on a Friday night’s cause that’s the night all the new episodes of my favorite TV shows would come on. Yes I was pretty addicted to the TV I must admit. But my favorite cartoons would have to of been; Whinnie the Pooh, PB&J Otter and Rolie Polie Olie.
6.       I am a Disneyland fanatic! I absolutely love Disneyland. I have almost every Disney characters autograph and absolute love being the first to stand in line to enter the park and the last ones to leave when the day is over.  It is diffident the happiest place on earth and one day you will all see me working at Disneyland being my favorite Disney Princess, Belle.
7.       So Walt Disney pretty much formed the type of person I am. I am a dreamer. I believe anything can happen if you wish hard enough. I can come up with the craziest dreams and fantasies but hey once you start dreaming you can’t stop!
8.       I have been counting down the days tell I turn 16 since the day I turned 14! Only 60 days from today :) something about the thought of turning 16 just brings a smile to my face, I can’t wait to have the freedom of hoping in a car all by myself and feeling like an adult as I can drive anywhere I want. I have to admit I am a little excited about the whole boy part but my license is something that I am going crazy not having.
9.       My #1 stress reliever is dancing. Something about moving to the beat of the music and just putting all your emotion and energy into something I have a passion for is what I love. Nothing is better than picturing the person you hate the most while you dance. Something about showing that person how good of a dancer you are and putting so much energy into every move as if you were punching them in the face is a great way to get frustration and anger out as well.
10.   And last but not least my favorite foods in the whole wide world is ice cream and Jelly Beans! If you give me one of these two I will love you forever! I could eat them every day if I wanted. And a fork full of ice cream as a midnight snack is just what I love.

Joining the world of blogging

After months of deciding if I should get a blog, it finally happened. I feel like an old adult right now blogging about everything and their pet dog. But hey I might as well blog about my crazy life just like everyone else. I’m 15 and a sophomore at Bear River High School. Most people call me crazy for being a Hi-Stepper, Sophomore Class Senator, on Garland City Youth Council and a member of several different clubs and organizations but hey being busy is what I love and I wouldn’t change any of it. I eat everything with a fork and love cereal, jelly beans and my sleep.  I’m your typical teenager who spends hours texting and being on facebook. But if I’m not doing that then I’m either spending time with my family or of course my friends. I would be totally lost without my friends, they are all amazing and diffident know how to have some fun. I love life and wouldn’t trade it with anyone!
