Last night was the Hi-Stepper Spring show. I can’t believe the year has finally come to an end. It was kind of a bitter sweet night as I was able to perform all the dances one last time and dance with those girls for the last night. You can’t forget good old Coach Park dancing with me either for the daddy daughter dance. We had skill and were far better than anyone else! This year has diffidently had its ups and its down and I couldnt have done it without my amazing family to be there and support me. At the first of the year it was punishment after punishment and it seemed like nothing was going the way how I wished it would be. We were the farthest away from a team. All year it has been drama but I can’t complain because I became so close to so many of the girls on the team. I spent more hours with these girls then my family. We had memories this year that I will cherish forever. We found tons of mice at road clean up, taught screaming little girls how to dance at mini drill, wanting to punch are choreographer for military in the face as we all were so annoyed with her. We were all about ready to pass out doing kicks on the back of a semi for parade and we all faced major flex-its workouts together during camp. When someone mentions homecoming of course you have to think about the streakers running across the football field right in the middle of our performance. Practices were long and tiring but we still had fun, we had parties, chased boys who were trying to scare us down the hall and found them in the boy’s bathroom, put on fake mustaches, and yelled for chocolate milk every time Coach Park or Joe came into the gym. We had are struggles this year but after a lot of hard work we got 2nd in region and 4th in state. Nothing can take away that feeling I felt at state when we out beat Morgan and the looks they gave us because of it. It was sweet victory watching them cry and knowing that we basically took region just without the trophy. This year is now to an end and even though there was times when I just wanted to walk out of the gym and say, I quit, I am glad I had the chance this year to become closer to these girls, become a team and be like sisters…WE CAN, WE WILL, WE ROCK!!
